Wendy Ho
Wendy Ho sounds like Taylor Dane, Anastasia, and Chaka Khan, and yet writes like Blowfly, Dolemite, and Judy Tenuta. She’s been rampaging through New York City for the last 3 years with a musical comedy act so raucous that people have a hard time describing the experience. It may be attributed to the fact that she was raised in a trailer court, and overindulged with too many episodes of 227.
Or maybe its her years and experience on the streets of Harlem that have inspired her afro-centric stylings. All one can say is that once Ho started writing songs about her experiences as a white trash gurl gone ghetto ho in Harlem USA, that she was heartily welcomed onto the New York underground comedy and music scene. Her album, The Gospel According to Ho, is now a cult classic, and she is currently in the studio working on her Sophomore album, Wendy Ho is: CUNTAGEOUS.
Ho will steal your purse, warn you about the dangers of flossing your teeth before giving head, and demand that "you steal Susan's Loochey." Her debut video, "Bitch I Stole Yo Purse," was the number one funniest video of 2008 on MTV's Logo Network.
